MIRIAM KCHARI -Vocals/Bass/Violin
Miriam KChari is currently working with the nation's premier vocal producer, Jan Smith, who is also serving as Executive Producer for KChari’s latest album. Miriam began her music studies on the violin at the age of three. Her musical education includes extensive voice, violin, cello and bass training under some of the best instructors in the country at Dickinson College, Cleveland Institute of Music, Jan Smith Studios and the Atlanta Institute of Music. She was a long-time student of violin virtuoso Daniel Majeske, the late Concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra and has pursued jazz bass performance tuition under Russ Rogers at Atlanta Institute of Music. Miriam is an active composer and songwriter with BMI, a member of NARAS (the Recording Academy) and a full time, professional musician. She is twenty-three years old; currently she performs and teaches violin and viola in Atlanta.
JOSHUA KCHARI -Guitar/Electric Cello
Joshua KChari is an active recording and performing artist with over twenty-three years experience in music. Joshua received his college education from Johns Hopkins University and the Peabody Conservatory with Stephen Kates. He received advanced cello tuition with Richard Aaron (Cleveland Institute of Music.) He has had the privilege of studying guitar with Peter Vogl (Atlanta, GA) and jazz guitar theory at the Atlanta Institute of Music under Bill Hart. Joshua has learned first hand from the legends of modern cello history including Yo Yo Ma, Janos Starker, and Mstislav Rostropovich and performs regularly throughout the Southeast staying at the forefront of modern alternative cello development. Joshua plays a 5-string NS Design electric cello and an antique acoustic cello. He has become best known for his versatility as a guitarist and cellist. Joshua maintains a busy schedule as a professional guitar and cello instructor and performer. He is a member of BMI, NARAS (the Recording Academy) and is an endorsed Bogner Amplification Artist.
SARAH KCHARI -Piano/Keyboard/Drums and Percussion
Sarah KChari has studied and performed the piano for twenty-one years. She completed her classical music studies under Harriet Gohler (Cleveland Institute of Music) and is as comfortable with improvisational keyboard and percussion as she is with the classical piano’s expansive repertoire. Her drum studies include extensive work with Steven O’Reilley and Tom Knight at the Atlanta Institute of Music and she is versatile in styles ranging from rock and world to funk and jazz. She is twenty-five, and performs classical and original repertoire throughout the Southeast. She is a prolific composer (BMI), and a member of NARAS (the Recording Academy.) She performs/teaches piano and drums full time in North Atlanta and is a member of Georgia Music Teachers Association, Music Teachers National Association, and the North Dekalb Music Teachers Association.
